Clinical and Forensic Psychology Branch

The branch, a clinical-forensic centre, provides comprehensive psychological services to children, young persons and families referred by the division.

What We Do

1. The Unit provides comprehensive psychological services to children, young persons and families who are clients of our division – RPRSD. We do not provide psychological services directly to members of the public.

2. Our branch comprises 4 specialty units:

  • Research and Evaluation Unit
    Specialises in the coordination of various research projects in CFPB, as well as providing ad-hoc consultations to the various branches and divisions in MCYS.

  • families at-risk or in distress

Background on the Clinical and Forensic Psychology Branch

The Clinical and Forensic Psychology Branch (CFPB), formerly Psychological Services Unit, was established as a unit in October 1998 within the Rehabilitation and Protection Division in the MCYS.

The unit aims to be a clinical-forensic centre providing comprehensive psychological services to children, young persons and families who are clients referred by the division.
