The Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) recently posted, via REACH at http://reach.gov.sg, the following proposed Bills to seek public feedback:
i) The Women’s Charter (Amendment) Bill from 13 Sep to 24 Oct 2010; and
ii) The Children and Young Person’s (Amendment) Bill from 29 Sep to 15 Oct 2010.
Many members of the public had given us their inputs on the Bills. MCYS would like to thank members of public and key stakeholders who have provided feedback on the proposed changes to the Women’s Charter and the Children and Young Persons Act.
MCYS has assessed the feedback and appropriate suggestions have been taken into consideration in revising the proposed Bills. The Women’s Charter (Amendment) Bill and the Children and Young Persons (Amendment) Bill will be read for the first time in Parliament on 22 November 2010. Interested members of the public can refer to the REACH website for MCYS’s responses to the feedback on both Bills.
