Courses for Women

A variety of information technology (IT) and financial literacy courses and programmes are available to women who are keen to upgrade their IT and financial skills.

Information Technology Courses

  • People’s Association CC online
    CC-Online is PA’s online portal for Community Center/Club services. The website gives a complete listing of IT courses at all CC in Singapore. Interested applicants can go online to register for the courses available.
  • NTUC Learning Hub
    NTUC LearningHub Pte Ltd conducts up to 60 IT courses in topics ranging from desktop applications, web design and multi-media design to system administration, programming and networking. IT courses are available in both English and Mandarin languages.
  • SCWO IT Hub
    The SCWO IT Hub offers training in the use of computers and the Internet at a nominal fee to housewives and retirees to become IT literate as well as for re-training of retrenched workers.

Financial Literacy Courses

  • MoneySENSE
    MoneySENSE is a national financial education programme provided by Monetary Authority of Singapore that aims to enhance the basic financial literacy of consumers. It covers Basic Money Management, Financial Planning and Investment Know-How.
  • AWARE’s Financial Intelligence Training
    The Financial Intelligence Training (FIT) course run by the Association of Women for Action and Research serves to provide vital money management skills. FIT is a full day course with hands-on games to simulate real life situations which impact one’s money and personal finances.
  • Singapore Business & Professional Women’s Association (SBPWA) – Women in Mentoring (SWIM)/ Finance (SWIF)/ Technology (SWIT)
    SBPWA provides various platforms for women professionals to come together to network with national and international women’s associations on IT and financial issues. Apart from forums and talks, training courses and seminars are also planned.
