There are plans to build six “small group” residential homes catering to young children under 12 who have been repeatedly abused. Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports Vivian Balakrishnan announced this yesterday at the opening of Dayspring Residential Treatment Centre, the first such small therapeutic group home here. It was officially opened by President S R Nathan.

本地首间以治疗受虐少女为主的小型收容所昨天正式成立，纳丹总统和社会发展、青年及体育部长维文为收容所主持开幕仪式。今年1 月底开始运作的清晨之光治疗收容所（DaySpring Residential Treatment Centre），由高峰社会服务协会（HighPoint Community Services Association）成立和管理，可为最多12名介于12至16岁的少女提供治疗性收容服务。本地目前有22间儿童收容所和感化院，但多以提供庇护和改造为主。
