A wellness programme aimed at encouraging women to go for their first mammogram has been extended to those due for a subsequent check. Under Project Celebrate Wellness, which started last year, women aged 50 and above pay just $25, about a quarter of the average cost of a mammogram, for their first screening. This subsidised rate will now be available to those planning a follow-up screening.
