Beyond Parental Control: New Cases, 2005-2008


Children beyond parental control are those below 16 years of age and who display behavioural problems so severe that parents might apply to the Court for assistance in managing them.

Upon the complaint, the Court may place the child under statutory supervision or admit him / her into a Home, with the parents’ / caregivers’ consent.
